Good luck everyone on FGB, I am heading out of town for the day. I can only take so much city.

Well..went to the medical clinic and it turns out it's just muscle spasms and he wrote me a prescription for massage therapy which I'm doing today for an hour.

It's not serious but I need to pay more attention to my body - I was trashed after the two previous WO's and I should have taken the day off and that worked out well...

Hopefully I can come back soon but I'm guessing a couple of weeks. The doc told me I need to keep moving around to keep things loose and that I should continue with working out.

Maybe I'll put the CF t-shirt away - not great advertising having a guy gimping around wearing your shirt.lol.

FGB is my favorite! And not because I dream of being in the UFC. It's a Love-hate relationship really... My very first CrossFit workout was FGB on June 7th. It nearly killed me but I was hooked. You never forget your first :) After three months of varied, functional and intense training have passed I was excited to have another go at FGB. I was nervous and anxious prior to starting...and totally sucking wind the whole way. At times my form was not best - I always appreciate Aaron's pointers - thanks Aaron! Form and accuracy are paramount to speed for me any day - just need to focus more and practice what i'm preach'n - speed will follow.

Congrats to everyone who experienced FGB today - Great work!
As I watched the group after me - this may sound crazy to some - I wanted to fight again :)

As RX'd 221 PR
beat my mod'd score 145 from last time!

CrossFit Regina is brilliant!

There is no shame in needing rest and taking a break.

Good job Brad,

D2's Day 58 Burpee Challenge WOD

6 Rounds definitely not timed
- 10 Burpees
- 5 Strict Pullups

Gotta start working the pulling action more yesterdays pullups really hurt.

Brad Flood said...

Thanks D2. I like your D2BCD58WOD. The yin(push) yang(pull) works well for me and helps to break up the burpees... and I need deadhang PLU practice. I'm gonna do D2CD58WOD tonight before dinner - great idea Darcy.

"you never forget your first" lol!

Great barbell workshop today, lots of good info. Look forward to more in the future.

Ferrah, I thought of you afterwards as I stood in line for my blended frap at Starbucks :)

Thanks Kelly... and thanks everyone at 7pm yesterday for talking me through it. That purple band was looking soooo tempting around round 4. But I'm happy to say I didn't use it.

Hey guys!
I saw you guys did Fight Gone Bad today, we did it here too! It was a fundraiser for Prostate Cancer and Wounded Warriors. TONS of fun!! My score was 237 as rx'd. That was my first time doing Fight Gone Bad and I wanted to die but was REALLY happy when they told me my score!
Anyway hope all is well there!!
